About CIC
The Community Investment Corporation (CIC) was founded in 1996 as a non-profit 5O1(c)3 agency to assist small businesses and provide public purpose services. Working in collaboration with other agencies, CIC has provided investment in new and existing businesses for start up and business expansion. CIC also provides charter school disclosure monitoring services as well as short term cash flow loans under its charter school program. Additionally, the Community Investment Corporation acts as fiscal agent for City of Tucson and Pima County down payment assistance programs.
We understand how difficult it is for some business and non-profit entities to borrow money for equipment, expansion and growth. This is the main reason Community Investment Corporation has created a small loan program for those companies that do not have access to additional capital. We believe in Southern Arizona and the creation of opportunities to provide additional jobs and to grow our economy.
Our Objectives
Our business objectives provide an unlimited number of opportunities for success:
- Provide funding to small business for expansion when capital is not available from other sources; increasing employment opportunities.
- Foster business startups through selective investment for business ventures offering significant employment opportunities.
- Enhance business creation and expansion through investments in targeted educational programs in finance, marketing and access to capital issues.
- Leverage CIC investments to the maximum degree
- Expedite downtown Tucson redevelopment efforts through bridge and revolving loan programs, direct and equity lending.
- Collaborate with other non profit agencies or government sectors with programs that enhance the quality of life in our community.
